We’ll help you explore the various types of docks and find the right fit for your waterfront property.
At Destination Dock, we understand that no two waterfront properties are exactly alike, nor are the property owners who use them. That’s why we’re proud to offer several types of docks to meet the diverse needs and preferences of our Chapin, South Carolina area customers.
While we offer several types of docks, all of them are designed to be as low-maintenance as possible. We know that the last thing you want to have to do is spend hours of your day caring for your dock, so we use only high-quality materials designed to withstand the challenges and demands of the waterfront. Our designs also prioritize ease of use, making it simple to use your dock whether it’s a gathering place or a hub for watercraft activities.
A few of the most popular types of docks we offer include:
- Stationary Docks — A tried and true classic, stationary docks offer exceptional aesthetic value with a warm, natural appearance. A stationary dock or pier gives you a stable surface over the water and gives you the opportunity to customize many of the pier features, such as the handrailing type, lighting options, and decking options. While this style is more maintenance-heavy than other options we offer, we can help you make yours as low-maintenance as possible.
- Covered Pier — This dock style offers a roof over the pier. A covered pier can be designed as an area for people to hang out lakeside, while being out of the sun. They can also be used as a designated storage area that is protected from the elements.
- Floating Docks — These docks sit on the water’s surface and are ideal for areas that experience significant water level changes. The structure of a floating dock is made from marine-grade aluminum with welds at each joint, and it is designed to withstand the roughest waters and storms.
- Covered floating docks —A covered floating dock is ideal for protecting boats from sun exposure. They also offer shade space during those hot summer days.
